An experienced second brain, without the corporate overhead.
I'm Daniel Cooper. For more than 15 years, I have helped owner-led businesses and national organisations improve how they sell, spend, operate and grow.
I have built and relaunched sales and telesales teams, developed routes to market, recruited and trained people, improved digital visibility and been accountable for delivery, not just recommendations.
COOPER gives smaller businesses access to that experience, providing clear thinking and practical help without the cost of employing a full-time director or hiring a large consultancy.
Based in Farnham, Surrey.
Available on site across the South of England and remotely across the UK.

Small businesses deserve experienced support before problems become expensive.
Small-business owners are expected to be strategist, salesperson, recruiter, buyer, project manager and technology expert, usually while still doing the work that created the business in the first place.
Most do not need another consultant to tell them they are busy. They need someone experienced to take a proper look, tell them the truth and help move the work forward.
That is why I built COOPER.
“The business should work for its owner. Not consume them.”
15+ years of practical business improvement.
Helping independent businesses compete and grow
My early experience was built working directly with independent garages and other owner-led businesses.
At Euro Car Parts, through the AutoFirst network, I advised garage owners on purchasing, pricing, tools, suppliers and their plans for developing the business.
At List My Garage, I helped independent garages improve their Google Business Profile, become more visible in local search and compete more effectively in their area.
Building teams, routes to market and revenue
I moved into senior commercial and sales leadership roles, building growth strategies and turning plans into teams, processes and signed business.
Across three multi-channel businesses, I have built, relaunched and led sales and telesales teams, recruited and trained people, and developed new routes to market.
That work has included multi-million-pound pipelines and more than £13 million in contract value. More importantly, it taught me why sensible plans fail in practice, where growth gets stuck and how to get things moving.
Bringing that experience together
COOPER brings all of that experience together for growing businesses.
That might mean reviewing costs and software, improving processes, using AI properly, recruiting the right people, strengthening sales, analysing competitors or taking ownership of a project that has been delayed for too long.
Business problems rarely sit neatly inside one department, so I look at the whole picture rather than treating every issue in isolation.

I take the work seriously. Not myself.
Outside work, I'm a husband and dad of three, a guitarist and a lifelong fan of music that generally gets heavier rather than quieter.
There is also a ball python in the house, which usually gets a reaction.
I'm naturally curious, energetic and direct. I ask a lot of questions, tend to get personally invested in solving a problem and prefer a clear answer to a comfortable one.
People generally know where they stand with me. I enjoy working with people, bring plenty of energy to the room and believe serious work does not require unnecessary formality.
“The best working relationships are honest enough for difficult conversations and relaxed enough to enjoy the work.”
Straight answers and practical involvement.
Honest
I will tell you when an idea is weak, a cost does not stack up or something is already working well enough to leave alone.
Practical
Recommendations should lead to a clear decision or action, not another document that gets filed away.
Hands-on
I can research, plan, build, implement or manage the work, rather than simply describing what somebody else should do.
Direct
You deal with me throughout. No account managers, unnecessary handovers or consultancy theatre. I will ask difficult questions, explain what I think and remain focused on what will genuinely help.
Shall we have a conversation?
Tell me what keeps getting pushed back, what is making the business harder to run or where another experienced pair of eyes would help. We can have an honest conversation and work out whether COOPER is the right fit.
